MY LIGHT BULB MOMENT
Ha - great opportunity for a good story ;-) I was awakened as a small boy whan my father took me in the car (1969) to buy some wine directly at the winery of a friend. It was in Nierstein worldwide well known by it´s wines from the "Roter Hang" - world famous Riesling !!! There I allways was allowed to take the last drop from the glases and so I got my first expieriences. I never lost my "touch in wine".

Stadt LandWein - Wein-Events in Rheinhessen
Founder

As you read before my origins are in region of Rhinehesse and there at Mainz, Regional Capital and for wine-lovers much more interesting: GREAT WINE CAPITAL of Germany (here some input: https://www.greatwinecapitals.com/capitals/mainz-rheinhessen).

Since 25 Years im living in a small town near the city of Mainz and there is always wine. So a got a couple of friends who are managing their wineries. Meanwhile I´ve started working at the Business Development Agency of Mainz and I got some expierience in consulting for various businesses. I adoppted this knowledge to the winebusiness for privat interests. So I started the "Winemaker-Macher" a mixed name (english-german synonyme to winemaker-maker (= a guy who makes winemakers ;-) The most was "pro bono"!

Two years ago (summer 2018) a decided with my with to start the Online-Newsroom "StadtLandWein" because I got in touch with the founders of Merkurist (a German Online-Newsroom for regional journalism). My wife and me counted "1+1" and so we started writing stories about regional wine-events. In the first year we reached more than 280.000 folks on facebook an many thousends of readers on our own web-site. Meanwhile we are well known in our region and even we have learnd much more about Rhinehesse. This knbowledge we try to transport to our readers. (All stories in German language.)
