Charles Miller

A classically trained trumpet player and native of St. Louis, Charles became enthralled with the wine world while pursuing graduate studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music. When his passion for wine began to overshadow his love for music, Charles spent time working in the wine industry at one of Cleveland's top wine destinations. In 2017, Charles and his wife Shelby made the exciting decision to head back home to Missouri and join the State of Mind Wine team as Wine Manager and Beverage Director of our B&M location, Chandler Hill Vineyards & Restaurant. He has since had the opportunity to visit and walk our wonderful vineyards on the west coast and engage in the brand development for State of Mind Wine. In addition to his State of Mind work, Charles also heads up the on-premise beverage program at Chandler Hill, which includes managing  the extensive Tasting Bar, leading their many innovative Wine Dinners, private events management, and most importantly guiding the staff and clients of Chandler Hill through their own personal wine journey. In May of 2018, Charles passed his Certified Sommelier exam through the Court of Master Sommeliers and is already busily preparing to take on the Advanced Certification as soon as possible.
