Gerry Baker began his wine career as a retail purchaser for the Kroger Company. As he continued his studies, the pull to work in the service industry became too strong and Gerry would moonlight and local wine bars. After earning the title of Certified Sommelier he would go on to become a Sommelier/Manager at The Stand Gastro Bistro and quickly used the experience gained there to become the Sommelier for two Wolfgang Puck restaurants inside MGM Grand Detroit.
Over the past few years, Gerry has spoken at local wine and food festivals, charity wine events, as well as tv and radio appearances.
