Nación de Vinos: This is the biggest festival where you can taste and understand the mexican wine, this festival is focus to share the knowledge about all the diferents mexican's wine region. As sommelier in this festival my duty is explain and try to approach the visitors to the diferents wineries. October 19-20, 2016.

Pablo Mata Valderrama (Morelia, Michoacán, 1984)
Studied initially in the Universidad Latina de América (Latin University of America) and the Escuela Española de Sommeliers (Spanish School of Sommeliers), today is one of the Certified Sommeliers of the Court of Master Sommeliers in Mexico and get with distinction the level 2 in Wine and Spirits of WSET. Specialist in sherry wines endorsed by the regulated counsel of the DO Jerez-Sherry-Xerez. He had prominent participations in festivals and national contests, like the “Festival #32 Gastronomías de México” and “La Nariz de México”, obtaining first and second place, respectively. Likewise, he has been part of of the festivals Millesime 2012, Morelia en Boca 2013 and has collaborated with the Boomerang series (2013-2015) next to great chefs. In 2015 he was recognized by the Asociación de Banqueros de México (Association of Mexican bankers) for his contributions to the sommelierie in Mexico. During 2016 he has being involved actively in programs like MexSomm, Wine & Food Festival Riviera Maya, Morelia en Boca, and also take the place as the Wine director in the Mexico City edition 2016 and 2017 of the Wine & Food Festival working head to head along with the most outstanding chefs of the gastronomic world scene, or, giving tastings that immerse the attendees into the fascinating world of the wine and spirits. Recently he was part of the program of Ven a Comer (Come to Eat) in Copenhagen giving a masterly class of mezcal as a part of the promotion of the Mexican gastronomic culture. Former Sommelier in Pujol the last 5 years where he works besides chef Enrique Olvera. Today he’s Head Sommelier in Vintage (wine distribution) and have an important role in the wine education‘s company.
