I have had my ups and downs with wine. I didn't drink until I finish college. My first wine experience was in London where I worked for a small Italian restaurant, Zucca. The head bartender, Sasha, offered me a glass of Immensum (Candido). The wine was so smooth and full of fruit that I start drinking wine after it. Years later, I switched career to tech. Then I moved to Napa (irony). Only after I won a blind tasting competition, I realized that I shouldn't have left the wine industry.
I am a Brazilian born sommelier with international background. I started my wine career as bartender in a small Italian restaurant in Notting Hill, London. When
I went back to Brazil, my first project was to build a 10.000 bottles
wine cellar at Café Journal in Sao Paulo that would become one of the best wine
bars in South America. Years passed, I moved to Ireland to become the head sommelier for the star Michelin restaurant
Bon Appetit in Dublin. In the same year, I had an article published by Decanter magazine. A few years later, I moved to Napa and joined Inglenook in 2014 as Wine Educator and shortly after I was promoted to
Sales. It was good way to come back to wine and I ended up winning the Top Taster blind wine
tasting competition at Flavor! Napa Valley in the same year. As a Certified
Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers and currently a WSET Diploma
student, I hold a Masters in Electronic-Business from University College
Dublin and Mathematics degree from Sao Paulo State University. Now I have my own consultancy combining my two passions: wine and digital marketing.
