MY LIGHT BULB MOMENT
Sometime in the late 1960s I picked up a book on a cut-out rack. It was H.E. Bravery's Home Brewing without Failures. I was fascinated. A few months later I found a copy of Home Wine making without Failures. I was hooked.

At the age of 16 I was making recipes from Bravery's books.  Since then, I experimented with zymurgy, earned a Ph.D. in Geography from Louisiana State, obtained Geographic Information Systems Professional and Certified Specialist in Wine professional accreditations.  I have thirty years teaching experience at IUP, where I teach GIS, Cartography, Quantitative Methods, and Introductory courses.  For the past sixteen years I have taught a course titled the Geography of Wine.  Two years ago, I opened a distillery in Homer City, Pennsylvania.
