MY LIGHT BULB MOMENT
I was gifted the opportunity to take the Introductory level Sommelier exam through The Court of Masters. I was so nervous and excited that I bought as many books as I could get my hands on. The first book I opened, The Wine Bible, had me at Hello! I found that I could read for hours and became more and more fascinated by this new world that had been opened up for me. AWARDS & ACCOLADES

Rusti Gilbert, Certified Sommelier, has been working in the restaurant industry since she was 14. She has worked every front of the house position at restaurants of every level. Her current position allows her to focus on education for not only the employees of Tasting Room Del Mar, but guests as well.
Rusti is always looking to expand her knowledge and her career. She is constantly enrolling in programs that help her growth as well as offer various perspectives to our industry as a whole.
