MY LIGHT BULB MOMENT
My first "real restaurant" job. I was part of the opening team and it was the first time I had ever worked at a place with a Wine Director. I sat down for my very first wine tasting and training session and felt completely inept. I was sure I would be fired for my lack of knowledge, but instead he took me under his wing. The very next day, he started having me smell fruits, spices, etc and compare them to the wines. I was instantly hooked.

My training and experience are rooted in both front- and back-of-the-house positions in the top restaurants and luxury hotels of San Francisco, New York, and Saint Louis, and I am in a pursuit of continual education at wineries, breweries, organic farms, and creameries around the country.
